The Phoenix is a long-lived mythical bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn. Associated with the sun, the Phoenix obtains new life by rising from the ashes of its predecessor. According to some legends, the Phoenix could live over 1,400 years before rebirth.

About Pamela Kirkham

Pamela Kirkham

The artist was born in Pennsylvania, but grew up in Michigan through age 18. She returned to Michigan 17 years ago, after living 15 years in Texas, 8 years in New Mexico, and 4 years in Oklahoma. She attended Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pamela graduated as an illustrator and pursued that career in Texas. In 1992, she started her own business, Kirkham Fine Arts. For the last 17 years, her focus has turned away from doing murals and illustration to creating healing, vivid, acrylic paintings that seek to free you from the struggles you face. Accomplishments include having been chosen to be an ArtPrize (the largest art competition in the world) artist in both 2014 and 2015 in Grand Rapids, Michigan; chosen...
