Inspired by a mountain sunrise in my mind, this piece evokes a dream-like landscape. I'm envisioning the most beautiful mountain sunrise I can imagine! When I was a child, we made many trips through the Rocky Mountains and I always had my nose pressed to the car window and couldn't quit smiling, realizing how high in the world we were. Being in the mountains makes me feel like I'm at my spiritual height. This would be a great scene to wake up to!
The artist was born in Pennsylvania, but grew up in Michigan through age 18. She returned to Michigan 17 years ago, after living 15 years in Texas, 8 years in New Mexico, and 4 years in Oklahoma. She attended Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pamela graduated as an illustrator and pursued that career in Texas. In 1992, she started her own business, Kirkham Fine Arts. For the last 17 years, her focus has turned away from doing murals and illustration to creating healing, vivid, acrylic paintings that seek to free you from the struggles you face.
