Their ability to go through metamorphosis and emerge an entirely new being, from grounded caterpillar to winged beauty, is a wonderful metaphor for hope and transformation. The artist was born in Pennsylvania, but grew up in Michigan through age 18. She returned to Michigan 17 years ago, after living 15 years in Texas, 8 years in New Mexico, and 4 years in Oklahoma. She attended Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pamela graduated as an illustrator and pursued that career in Texas. In 1992, she started her own business, Kirkham Fine Arts. For the last 17 years, her focus has turned away from doing murals and illustration to creating healing, vivid, acrylic paintings that seek to free you from the struggles you face.
