Artist's Description

Millions of Monarchs migrate to Mexico, where they arrive on the Day of the Dead much to the delight of people who believe Monarchs return to them as little children they have lost. Butterflies are symbols of rebirth, regeneration, and renewal. They are believed to be spiritual guides through transformation, to a new self. Their ability to go through metamorphosis and emerge an entirely new being, from grounded caterpillar to winged beauty, is a wonderful metaphor for hope and transformation. In Japan, a butterfly was seen as a personification of a person's soul. I'd like you to meditate on this painting each morning to reach a positive mind set to start your day. Upward motion and flying creatures take you up and away from your life struggles then back into your inner soul, where you can heal yourself from the inside out.
